Literature Text

I'm sitting here waiting, right?

I take out my pocket knife and observe it poignantly as the cars drive by.

An SUV takes a right.

Here I sit in an archway in a University, the cars drive away and I hear the murmur of conversations past.

Collectively I get up and scout the crowd with my eyes; where is she?

I search some more and there she is, at last.

Back in my pocket, my little blade goes and I'm walking to spread the news.

The sun is out and then she smiles; I speak my truth and she looks to me as if I've lied.

Eyes wide shut she curses the air, she says mean things like I'm not there.

I crush under pressure and reveal more, she falls to the ground and asks me what for.

"She's been dead for weeks, I'm sorry to reveal." I say, expecting her to reel.

"You didn't tell me, why?" She replies sobbing, my heart begins throbbing.

"She was your sister, your best friend.  We didn't want to tell you for fear of your condition."

"And to keep it back would help me, that's your preminition?"

"It was simply ideal for the situation.  We'd desided without hesitation."

"Your 'ideal' was wrong, I hope you know that.  And you, what's your status on this situation?"

"I'm just an informant, I've got not position." And with that the end of the inquisition.
I wrote this to experiment with an interesting situation, where somebody's died and they keep it back and then reveal it later to their best friend.
